Superfast Cornwall is a pioneering programme part funded by the EU to bring superfast broadband to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, making it one of the best connected places in the world. Creative Edge won the Creative Design contract against national and local competition, which has so far seen the launch of a website, brand guidelines, support materials and an innovative office showcase environment.

Chris Rea from Harlyn Surf School has reported an average increase of 300% in online visits, following not only the launch of the new website, but the embracing of email and mobile marketing techniques.

Creative Edge refreshed the surf school’s branding and created a new website which features an image lead menu, online booking, blog, clear navigation, drop down contact forms, strong call to actions and rolling images to show the full breadth of activities available, as well as their fabulous location.

Creative Edge were delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor a category in the DESIGNED. IN CORNWALL exhibition at University College Falmouth.

The event showcased the outstanding design and technology work produced by students at schools and Higher Education colleges across Cornwall and is the only large-scale exhibition of its kind in the country.

The high standard meant that Senior Designer Leo Stockley had his work cut out when judging the Graphic Product category, but a bauhaus inspired chess board by Joe Cooke of Roseland School was the stand out for its consistency of style. Highly Commended went to Amy Johnstone, Camborne Science & Community College Academy.

Creative Edge already sponsor the Combined Truro School Art Exhibition, which gives pupils the opportunity to display work in a professional gallery environment. “Encouraging design thinking at school level is very important to us”, said Creative Director Dave Rickett.

After sponsoring the Ignite Cornwall Business Plan competition for the second year, Creative Edge are now working with winners Sproggie as part of the prize package.

Michael Mailling of Sproggie has designed an ingenious plastic spoon that clips to popular baby food pouches to make on-the-go baby feeding a simple single-handed affair with hardly any mess.

"Judging was once again made incredibly hard by the high standard of entries. There really are many talented entrepreneurs in our industrious county." commented Dave Rickett, "In the end though, Sproggie had developed a fantastic product that tickled the taste buds of the judges".

Creative Edge has initially been involved in developing the Sproggie brand.
